linking-up and getting fat

today i'm linking up over at Ana's blog, with the above (quickest ever) DIY.
I have a basket where I keep my "to-do" projects, and right now, approximately none of it is exciting to me. but, i have been sewing quite a few headbands for the, above, favorite daughter.

i followed the same directions that i use for every garland i make and just started with a longer than usual thread strand before i began sewing (i'm sure there's a technical term for those two threads you start with?...hmmm) i even played around with some elastic but ended up liking the plain old string the best. baby headbands are my archenemies, they're so cute, and pretty much a necessity if you don't want your little girl to be confused with a boy (for real? she's dressed head to toe in pink, but without the headband she's a he?). but they leave those indentions that look so painful.. luckily this one just sits loosely around her head.

pretty exciting to have another valentine this year! now i'm off to spend my last hour and 10 minutes of lent-freeness eating every sweet we have in this house.

ciao.

  3. That is so cute! And I completely know what you mean about girl/ boy confusion. What baby boys wear all pink, people?
