chock a week long hiatus up to the never-sleeping-always-teething-baby and our/my t.v. show addictions (simultaneously catching up/staying on top of friday night lights, bachelor, and joe schmo, our personal favorite, to name a few) we're still trying to fill the hole breaking bad left in our lives..
today, i'm linking up with, what's that? i'm a week late for the mama style link up at IHOD? right well here's our, sure to be a winner, mothergirl shot (giving buster and lucille from arrested development a run for their money).
how has my style changed since motherhood?
i find myself wearing the same things over and over. it's easier and quicker to go to my comfortable, safe, outfits. i do miss having the energy and time to better mix and match, and try new things.
in the hair department, 9 out of 10 times i'm rocking the messy bun, and if i'm wearing my hair down you can be sure it's crunchy with spit up and being pulled out of the babe's sweaty fists every 2.5 seconds.
in the makeup department, i've definitely simplified.. i find myself using my, favoriteeverwithacherryontop, self tanner a lot. which makes me look less dead. (always a plus)
i do miss wearing heels, but trudging up and down the stairs of our apartment building, with a stroller, and infant, is already tough enough, you'll forgive me if i don't add 3 inches of wobbliness to the scenario. (and also my feet grew during pregnancy? so none of my heels fit anyway)
we've been jamming out around here to this little v-day themed playlist i made, thought i would share to help get you in the spirits-

Love your mama style! Those red flats are just too cute! I've been considering getting some read shoes and you've inspired me to totally go for it!
ReplyDeletePS - Your little babe is ADORABLE!

ReplyDeleteY'all are so adorable!! I hear you with the baby & hair woes... one day, we will be able to wear our hair down again without fear of yanking or tugging from our little ones! Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
