library card swag

if i was oprah, i would have given everyone in my audience a library card during my 2012 "favorite things" episode. (and then everyone would have boo'd me off the stage, because library cards are free ninety-nine)

other than 'regular old book rentals' everyone thinks of, did you know with a library card you can also:

1.get free music: once a week you get 3 free downloads of any sony music artist. (which includes artists like: mumford and sons, pink, brad paisley, adele, matt maher, and miranda lambert) 

2.free ebook borrowing: i love my kindle and was super excited to see that you can borrow ebooks with your library card. it's one less trip out with an infant, in a place that isn't infant friendly. (being quiet isn't exxxxactly something Rosemary has mastered yet)

3.DVD rentals: you probably knew that you could rent DVDs through your library, but i was surprised by the selection that they had. you can also go online and reserve DVDs and books to pick up, if you don't have the time to browse, and want to ensure what you want will be there. 

4. audio book borrowing: i've just recently started listening to audiobooks. what a great thing they've been for my little multi-tasking self.

you'd think i was being paid by the new york public library to write this. and although i wouldn't refuse any money they sent my way for this post, (dolla dolla bills y'all) i am merely one of their biggest fans!
