DIY diaper wipes

rosemary katherine has arrived! don't you worry... i'm working on putting together a post full of "baby goodness" as i edit our some 3,789,456,365,467,875 photos..

but in the mean time wanted to share a thrifty post-hospital DIY. on the day we were leaving the hospital, andy and i turned into "those people" who pillaged our hospital room taking every complimentary baby supply that was there. after we got home i was left with a situation similar to someone who takes too many complimentary condiments from a mcdonalds.. "what do i do with all of this?" i mean sure, i'll be able to use the travel size baby shampoos, but the stack of- what they call- "diaper wipes" which are nothing more than 'less scratchy' paper towels??

so below is a recipe, stolen from this blog, for baby wipes, we really love them! the smell is amazing:
so,  place your soon to be wipes(you can also use a roll of paper towels cut in half) in a 2 quart canister ( i found mine at the dollar store)

ingredients:
baby oil: 1 tbls.
baby bath: 1 1/2 tbls.
water: 2 cups

i then mixed them all in a bowl and poured them onto my wipes. allow to set and soak, and that's it!

one week late

due to the overwhelming displeasure with my last post (*cough cough kate*) i've decided to keep you up to speed with pregnancy news, to assure you that i am indeed still moving (somewhat) and not in a total depression over still being pregnant one week past my due date. as you can see, this weeks "activities" were 71% food related.

1. spicy mexican food, to induce labor of course
2. i'm in a fro yo obsession, we particularly love sweetie if you're in the BK area
3. what wouldn't i do for a klondike bar?
4. drinking sparkling cranberry juice in style
5. speed walking everywhere
6. my mom and i getting our nails did, best $20 ever spent
7. panera broccoli cheese soup, not a pregnancy craving, but an every day craving

i have an induction set for bright and early monday morning should this little bambino choose not to come on her own in the next day and a half...i can see the finish line!
