a laugh for your friday

here's a roundup of some of the funniest things i've seen in the world wide web this week:

andy and i spent way too long watching the different laugh videos posted by pasatti2004. each one will leave you more confused than the next... the leaf laugh?

the best thing about the following video is that it was obviously captured by a disassociated bystander

bonus: this site cracks me up. you'll only appreciate it if you're a regular on pinterest. (i'm pretty sure i've pinned a few of the tweets)

one tape to rule them all

you read it right. a blog post all about tape, washi tape that is.
i've been swooning over this tape ever since i've seen its endless possibilities on pinterest. below is a little round up of some DIY projects i've found

i've only begun my washi tape experimentation making a little garland and a few cards, but i'm hooked.

and, if you haven't seen, target is now selling it in their office supply section for around $4 for 4 rolls.

spring a ling

spring has sprung. in the words of madea, hahlaylooyer! i always kind of feel bad for spring because it's so bipolar, and by the time winter ends i'm ready for "laying out" weather, not spring's shenanigans!

but we've been taking advantage of every free minute we have to be outdoors.. including shopping our local market at prospect park weekly for our produce needs. i even purchased a lavender plant which i'm excited, but skeptical about, as i've killed nearly every plant i've gotten my hands on. i'm hoping to score some rhubarb next week to satisfy a rhubarb pie craving i've been having (not that i've ever made a rhubarb pie in my life..)

blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but i've been in nesting mode recently. which basically means everything has gotten a fresh coat of paint (whether it needed it or not) and a good wipe down- including my little old blog. (side note: html is my arch nemesis.) which brings me to a little product i have to spill about, mrs. meyer's all purpose cleaner in the basil scent. i normally don't get too excited about cleaning products but i'm obsessed with this smell. its also naturally derived so there aren't any harsh chemicals <3.

i've got updates on all i've been painting coming this week, hope you're having a great weekend!

19 weeks

this is what 19 weeks pregnant looks like

and, now the size of a "large heirloom tomato,"(quite specific)  this is what rosie looks like...isn't she so cute?

and the belly profile...

it feels good to be past the "is she pregnant, or did she just gain a lot of weight?" stage... but finding cute maternity friendly clothes (that aren't crazy expensive) has become my new challenge...suggestions?

little rosie cheeks

we are impatient, excited parents, who couldn't wait to find out the gender for another month. so, at the persuasion of my sisters and parents we went for another ultrasound, and we are more than thrilled to announce that the old wives tales were wrong! we're having a baby girl!!!!!

there just aren't enough exclamation points in the world to convey how excited we are. this will make the 6th granddaughter on my side of the family, and the 2nd on andy's. so far there are no boys on my side and there's one boy (on the way) on andy's side.

confession: i've been buying baby girl and boy clothes this whole time.. i just love this little laura ashley dress i found during my thrift haul

you can read andy's reflections about the gender reveal here.

her name is set too.. our little rosemary
