Valentine DIY

it's early i know, but this past weekend we "de-christmased" the house. isn't it so depressing to take down the christmas tree and all of the beautiful things that made your house so much more cozy? the solution to avoiding total depression at our house has been, a run to the craft store to start valentine's decorations! below are letters from michael's that andy painted for me:

the best investment i made from michael's was a heart hole punch! (all of there hole punches were 1/2 off!).  i then took old magazines i had laying around, and punched away! (pottery barn magazines were my favorites) after i punched them out i sewed them together (both horizontally and vertically) to create valentine garlands i strung around the house

next, i cut out felt heart shapes, embellished them, stuffed them and sewed them shut to create a heart garland.

more soon!

  2. These are wonderful ideas! I can totally relate to the depression that taking down the Christmas decor can bring and I don't have very many Valentine's decorations so this was truly inspiring! Thanks a bunch!

Do you have a link to follow your blog? I don't see one.
